Frankendining is a trio of objects created by BoneAppleTeeth - a collaborative effort between designers from diverse disciplines. Merging surrealism with functional parody, the Frankenchair, Frankentable, and Frankenfork propose alternative eating rituals through exaggerated ergonomics and comical friction. The set playfully disorients the act of dining, prompting users to question the designed norms of mealtime behavior and bodily performance.

Butcher’s Block is a spatial installation that explores the performative and symbolic potential of material manipulation. Using a single, oversized mermaid knife, a stool is carved out of red-stained insulation foam and placed inside a sealed cardboard enclosure. Viewers are invited to observe the outcome through keyholes, accompanied by layered sound recordings that document the cutting process.

This evolving project intervenes in a 1980s vintage fitness manual, a relic of hypermasculine ideals, with journal-based reflections that expose a more fragile and introspective counterpoint. The annotated pages juxtapose sculpted bodies and performative strength with hand-written entries and drawings that grapple with self-doubt, vulnerability, and internal complexity. Through this process, the work navigates the tension between societal aesthetics and personal emotional landscapes.

notscinotart is an independent design and research practice founded by Nikhar Yadav, a London-based artist/designer/writer currently pursuing her Master’s at the Royal College of Art.
Her multidisciplinary background — spanning professional kitchens, urban farms and superapps — informs an experimental approach that values the tactile and the technological in equal measure.
Positioned between product design, creative engineering, cognitive science and behavioural psychology, the work explores how ‘meaning’ is constructed in the interactions between objects, environments, and inner human narratives & how these boundaries can be played with to create progressive tools that are meaningful to their users.
Projects take form as physical artefacts, video essays, product-tools & spatial installations. Rather than offering solutions, notscinotart works on prompts, containers, and tangible provocations that invite users into a deeper engagement with self and space.
